Our BHIS providers provide services in the comfort of your own home and in approved school locations. Your child and family will participate in a combination of skill-building programs which target behavioral issues using evidence-based practices based on individualized treatment plan goals. Our BHIS professionals address behavioral issues and improve communication, anger management, coping, and decision making through skill-building. Children must be covered by Iowa State/Medicaid Insurance to be eligible for BHIS services.

 

Mental Health Waiver Services- Family and Community Support (FCS) Services and In-Home Family Therapy

Family and Community Service Providers are trained professionals on staff here at Life Connections who are making a difference in the community with their clients! FCS services provide the unique opportunity for clients to be present and interact with their communities in order to develop social skills and participate in skill-building in the moment with their provider outside of the home. Life Connections services the Iowa Mental Health Waiver with FCS services as well as in-home family therapy with trained, licensed mental health professionals.

 

School-Based Mental Health Therapy Services

Life Connections also offers mental health therapy services for school districts. We are able to provide a contracted full or part time therapist stationed in your district to work with students during school hours. Our school-based therapists can meet with children during school hours to support and facilitate collaborative mental health services with your local school district.

Therapy Manager

Bridget Kleitsch


View BioBridget began her career at Life Connections in August of 2015. She is a Behavioral Health Manager and Licensed Mental Health Therapist (tLMHC) at Life Connections’ Anamosa office and School-Based at Midland Middle/High School. Bridget became a BHIS manager for the Anamosa location in December of 2018 where her skills are utilized to support the BHIS team and work towards growth in Jones County.
Bridget attended the University of Northern Iowa where she graduated in 2016 with her Bachelor of Arts degree in family services. She also obtained her Master of Science degree in clinical mental health counseling from Walden University in February of 2020.
Bridget has a passion in assisting children and adolescents as well as their families with trauma, attachment, adjustment disorders, relationship disorders, anxiety, depression, mood distrubances, impulse control, and anger management. Bridget utilizes several therapeutic approaches including Cognitive Behavioral, Person Centered, and Solution Focused therapeutic approaches in her work. Bridget also completes BHIS assessments to assist in the growth of in home skill building in Jones County. Bridget strives to establish a strong presence in Anamosa to bridge the gap between the community and mental health services. She actively participates in the Jones County Community Partnership for Protecting Children, Jones County Safe and Healthy Youth Coalition, and Jones County Community Connections teams. In her free time, Bridget enjoys being outdoors and spending time with her family and friends


BHIS Manager & BHIS Provider

Jaime Matus


View BioJaime started her career at Life Connections in July 2020. She is a Behavioral Health Manager and Behavioral Health Provider at Life Connections. Jaime became the BHIS manager for the Anamosa location where her skills are utilized to support the BHIS team and work towards growth in Jones County.
Jaime attended the University of Phoenix where she graduated with Bachelor’s of Science degree in Health Care Administration. Jaime worked as a case manager for children on the Children’s Mental Health Waiver for 5 years. Jaime is passionate about working with children and adolescents as well as their families to gain the skills needed to be successful. Jaime is solution focused when working with clients and families. Jaime is passionate about helping families gain resilience by using the 7 C’s focusing on Competence, Confidence, Connection, Character. Contribution, Coping and Control. Jaime is active in the community and looking forward to making more connections. In her free time Jaime likes camping, spending time with her family, and watching cooking shows.
