Arica Arensdorf is a Behavioral Health Intervention Specialist for Life Connections Clinton office. She provides behavioral health counseling for ages 4-18 years old within the home. Arica attended the University of Iowa where she studied psychology and sign language. Arica then graduated from Ashford University where she received her B.A. in psychology. She was the recipient of the James E. Mooney award, which is given for the highest GPA of the science and liberal arts majors. Arica serves on the board of Pursuits (Member) and PTA (President).
Joshua Petersen is a BHIS provider as well as a middle school Behavioral Disorder Teacher in Clinton, IA. He received his B.A. in 2009 from Ashford University in elementary education and special education and went on to receive his master’s degree in 2011 in special education. Josh then went on to receive an additional endorsement in Behavioral Strategist from Morningside University in 2012. Josh has been employed with Clinton Community School District since 2011, working with students to develop adaptive behavioral skills. Josh came to Life Connections in the Spring of 2018 and has been working with individuals and families in the home to meet the individual needs of clients and their families.
Kady Zuidema graduated from Ashford University in 2014 with her B.A. in organizational management. Before graduating, Kady managed facilities for adults with special needs and worked with children with special needs. Kady then went on to obtain a second B.A. in elementary education with an endorsement in special education. Kady is currently back in school to get a second endorsement for learning and behavioral disabilities. Kady is a full-time LD/BD elementary education teacher.
Samantha Whitney in a BHIS Provider at Life Connections. Samantha graduated from St. Ambrose University in May 2017 with a Bachelors of Arts degree in psychology and a minor in criminal justice. Samantha graduated Summa Cum Laude from St. Ambrose University. While in college, Samantha worked as a child care provider for the YWCA Children’s Center in Clinton, Iowa. Samantha worked at Families First Counseling Services right out of college providing BHIS services until June 2019.
Troy Dodd is a 1988 high school graduate of Sierra Vista, AZ. Troy graduated from Ashford University in 2007. He graduated with a Bachelor of Science degree in education. Troy is a Special Education Teacher at Clinton Middle School. Troy also has a minor in athletic administration. Troy was an Athletic Director at Prince of Peace schools and has coached many youth, middle school and high school sports. Troy’s hobbies include hiking, fishing, hunting, riding bicycles and spending time with his family. Troy has 4 children and 3 grandchildren. Some of Troy’s adventures have included The Bataan Death March, walking across the Grand Canyon in a day, and climbing Mt. Kilimanjaro.
