Riley Andrews tLMHC
Riley’s career with Life Connections began in December of 2015. She started as a behavioral health intervention services (BHIS) provider and is now the BHIS Manager in Dubuque. Today, Riley is also a temporary licensed mental health counselor (tLMHC) and provides individual, couples, and family therapy. She also provides assessments for behavioral health intervention services (BHIS). Riley attended Emmaus Bible College where she graduated with a Bachelor of Science degree in biblical studies and counseling psychology. Riley then attended Regent University where she received her Master of Arts degree in clinical mental health counseling. While in college, Riley interned with Market Street Mission in Morristown, New Jersey. During her time there, she became knowledgeable in addictions and their treatment, as well as group counseling and work therapy. Riley also interned with Emmaus Bible College, expanding her skill set to work with clients on forming healthy relationships and working through interpersonal struggles such as depression, anxiety, and trauma. Riley also provided couples counseling and career counseling during this time. Riley now specializes in treating adjustment-related stressors, anxiety, depression, self-harm, and trauma. Riley uses an integrative approach in her counseling techniques, applying a variety of treatment modalities to best fit the needs of each individual client. Riley formulates a treatment plan in collaboration with every client to establish goals and treatment approaches, which results in a counseling experience that addresses the client’s needs holistically.
Erin Hanson, LMSW
Erin started her career at Life Connections in October of 2020. She graduated from Clarke University in 2019 with a Bachelor of Arts degree in Social Work and Psychology. Erin received her Master’s of Social Work (MSW) degree from Clarke University in 2020. Erin is currently an LMSW, Licensed Master Social Worker and works as a School-Based Therapist at Maquoketa Valley School District. Erin works with children k-12 and their families and has several years of experience working with adults. She completed her master’s field placement as a therapist working with ages four and up. Erin worked with adults with persistent mental illness for four years at Hillcrest Family Services. Erin also worked as a Youth Care Worker at Four Oaks’ Dubuque location in the Supportive Community Treatment (SCT) program in which she worked with kids and adolescents diagnosed with conduct disorder. In addition, Erin worked at Four Oaks’ Independence, IA location as a Youth Care Worker in a residential mental health setting for children. Erin works with individuals of all ages who are experiencing depression, anxiety, trauma, behavioral problems, mood disorders, adjustment disorders, anger management, and impulse control. Erin utilizes a Cognitive Behavioral approach as well as Person-Centered, Strengths-Based, and mindfulness therapy techniques.
