Mental Health Waiver Services- Family and Community Support (FCS) Services and In-Home Family Therapy

Family and Community Service Providers are trained professionals on staff here at Life Connections who are making a difference in the community with their clients! FCS services provide the unique opportunity for clients to be present and interact with their communities in order to develop social skills and participate in skill-building in the moment with their provider outside of the home. Life Connections services the Iowa Mental Health Waiver with FCS services as well as in-home family therapy with trained, licensed mental health professionals.


School-Based Mental Health Therapy Services

Life Connections also offers mental health therapy services for school districts. We are able to provide a contracted full or part time therapist stationed in your district to work with students during school hours. Our school-based therapists can meet with children during school hours to support and facilitate collaborative mental health services with your local school district.

Therapy Manager

Diane M Hudson, MSEd, tLMHC, NCC

View BioDiane began her career with Life Connections in August of 2019. She is a school-based therapist at Clinton Middle School, and is accepting new adult client’s for in-office services. Diane is a Nationally Certified Counselor (NCC) and currently holds Iowa licensure as a temporary licensed mental health counselor (tLMHC). Diane is a member of the American Counseling Association (ACA), and was a member of the Quad City Sexual Assault Response Team from 2007-2017.
Diane attended Western Illinois University where she graduated in 2005 with her Bachelor of Science degree in Law Enforcement and Justice Administration, 2010 with her Master of Science degree in Educational Studies, and 2019 with her Master of Science degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling. Diane has interned for the Scott County Risk Manager, Robert Young Mental Health Center, and The Abbey Addiction Treatment Center; her employment history includes the Davenport Police Department and American Red Cross.
Diane specializes in adjustment-related stressors, anxiety, depression, grief and loss, self-harm, trauma, and addiction. She works with individuals aged 10 and up. Diane is trained in eye movement desensitization and reprocessing (EMDR), and Dialectical Behavior Therapy, a skills-based approach including mindfulness, distress tolerance, emotion regulation, and interpersonal effectiveness. Diane is also trained to provide Rational Emotive Behavior Therapy, Motivational Interviewing, and Somatic therapies such as healing the mind with yoga. She has presented at local and regional conferences on the topic of using yoga as a tool for supporting mental health.
