Kelly Wilson

Iowa Mental health therapist

I’m Kelly and I’m a tLMHC (licensed mental health counselor). I graduated from Liberty University in 2023, where I honed my skills and passion for helping others. Now, I’m thrilled to be a part of the incredible team at Life Connections. It’s such a rewarding experience to work with those who need support and guidance through life’s ups and downs. I am dedicated to making a positive impact in the lives of those I serve, promoting holistic well-being, and facilitating lasting change. My goal is to provide a safe and comfortable space for my clients to explore their emotions, develop coping strategies, and foster resilience. I am committed to providing empathetic and non-judgmental care. If you’re looking for someone to chat with, don’t hesitate to reach out. I provide both in-person and tele-health therapy services to those struggling with trauma, depression, and anxiety.

Prior to being a therapist, I was a teacher for 16 years ranging from preschool students all the way through 12th grade. After working with many students who had extensive trauma, I had a desire to learn so that I could help them more effectively. Originally, my goal was to work with children, but through the course of my internship and my time at Life Connections, I have worked with children, adolescents, adults and the elderly and am open to working with any age.

I am continuously seeking to expand my expertise. I actively engage in ongoing professional development and stay informed of the latest research and advancements in the field of mental health and will be training in EMDR (Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing) in June of 2024.
