About Kelsey Kochheiser, LMHC
Kelsey’s counseling journey began in the medical field as a Certified Pharmacy Technician (CPhT), where her interest in physiology, pharmacology, and brain development first took root. After completing an Associate of Arts degree and beginning to pursue a pharmaceutical career, Kelsey discovered a deeper passion for understanding the mind and human behavior.
Guided by this curiosity, Kelsey earned her Bachelor of Arts degree in Sociology and Psychology from Grand View University. She began her professional journey as a Behavioral Health Intervention Service Provider (BHISP) with Life Connections, where she gained extensive experience supporting individuals and families in developing emotional awareness, coping skills, and positive behavioral growth.
Motivated to make a broader impact, Kelsey pursued a Master of Science in Clinical Mental Health Counseling at Grand View University, completing her internship with Life Connections. Through this experience, she strengthened her therapeutic approach—grounded in empathy, collaboration, and evidence-based practice—helping clients build resilience and foster personal growth.
Kelsey is now a Licensed Mental Health Counselor (LMHC) and serves as a Regional Manager with Life Connections. She provides school-based, community, and telehealth mental health services throughout the Perry, Des Moines, and Panorama Community School Districts and the greater Dallas County area. Kelsey is passionate about empowering clients to overcome challenges, develop emotional balance, and achieve meaningful progress toward their goals.
