About Laura Travagiakis, tLMFT

Laura began her career at Life Connections in May 2021. Laura graduated from the University of Iowa in 2017 with her bachelor’s degree in Applied Studies, and from Mount Mercy University in February 2020 with her Master of Arts degree in Marriage and Family Therapy. She then obtained her temporary license in Marriage and Family Therapy (tLMFT). Laura is a therapist in our Cedar Rapids office, providing both in person and tele-therapy to teens, adults, couples and families. Laura completed her internship at the Olson Marriage and Family Therapy Clinic.

Laura utilizes a variety of therapeutic techniques from a systemic and experiential lens, providing a strengths-based and client-centered approach to help clients with anxiety, depression, relationship issues and other challenges. Laura knows that no two people have the same story and will tailor the therapeutic approach to fit the client’s needs and goals with empathy and understanding.
