About Mindy Lovelady, LMHC
Mindy Lovelady is a licensed mental health therapist focusing on work with children. Mindy earned a Master’s degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling in 2009 after she earned a Bachelor’s degree in both Psychology and Sociology in 2007 from Lindenwood University, and joined the Life Connections team in March of 2025. Mindy enjoys helping children and adolescents build emotional awareness, self regulation, coping strategies, confidence, and develop greater self understanding through creativity and play. Mindy welcomes all youth experiencing a wide range of social, emotional, and behavioral challenges commonly seen in childhood and she has a special interest in supporting clients with ADHD, Autism, and Oppositional Defiant Disorder. Blending evidence-based approaches with a playful, engaging style, Mindy incorporates therapeutic play and art into her sessions to make therapy approachable and fun. She believes children communicate best through creative expression and hands-on experiences, and Mindy tailors each session to meet the unique needs, strengths, and interests of her clients. She helps children learn in ways that feel natural and empowering. Mindy works closely with families to support consistency and understanding at home and school, believing collaboration is the key to long term success. Her goal is to create a safe, accepting space where every child and adolescent feels seen, valued, and capable of growth.
