Teresa White, LMSW
Teresa’s career at Life Connections began in January 2022 as a therapist intern. She has graduated from the University of Missouri-Columbia with a Master’s Degree in Social Work. She began her career at a local non-profit in 1999, working with court involved teens at a Day Treatment Program. She then worked in a therapeutic classroom for teenagers at the alternative school. The last 12 years she worked as a self sufficiency advocate with youth who aged out of the Iowa Foster Care System. Teresa is a Licensed Master Social Worker (LMSW) and provides tele-therapy and in person therapy services to adults with trauma, depression, and anxiety. Teresa uses a person centered approach focusing on building a therapeutic relationship first. Her modalities include: Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR), Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Solution
Focused Therapy, and Dialectical Behavioral Therapy.
