Todd McDonough
Todd McDonough began working in the mental health field in 2013. In the Fall of 2020 he graduated from Loras College with Bachelor’s degrees in psychology and philosophy before moving on to obtain his Masters degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from Loras College in the Spring of 2024. He began his career as a therapist at Life Connections in May of 2024.
Todd’s practice is a blend of philosophical inquiry and psychodynamic techniques which involve gently exploring your deepest beliefs and the unconscious patterns that shape your life at a pace that is comfortable for you. Todd’s approach is rooted in trust, grace, empathy, and accountability and is aimed at cultivating the inspiration and insight that is necessary for you to experience deep healing and lasting transformation.
Todd enjoys working with adults and has experience with both individual and couples therapy. Todd’s specializations include working with anxiety, depression, trauma, life transitions, as well as concerns related to identity, interpersonal difficulties, and spirituality. Todd primarily uses Jungian psychoanalysis (and other psychodynamic approaches), Dialectical Behavioral Therapy, and systems based therapy approaches.
